Prior to joining Palecek, McIlvaine, Hoffmann & Morse Co., L.P.A., Emily Davis attended West Liberty University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies. While at West Liberty University, Emily helped lead the West Liberty Women’s Tennis Team to three straight NCAA DII Women’s National Team Tournament berths while achieving academic honors.
Emily received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law, where she graduated Cum Laude. Emily served both as an Assistant Editor and a Production Editor of the Akron Law Review. She also interned for the University’s Small Entrepreneur and Economic Development Legal Clinic. Emily gained valuable insight interning and externing with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office on health and human services issues and with the Ohio Supreme Court’s Commission on Professionalism while developing educational curriculum.
As a law clerk and attorney, Emily investigated patient care and rights in a practice dedicated to nursing home litigation. Emily’s experience in this field of nursing home abuse and neglect further developed her skills to work with an aging population and their families and caregivers. This underscored the importance of the need for individual estate planning to name persons to make financial and health care decisions for those no longer able to do so for themselves.
At Palecek, McIlvaine, Hoffmann & Morse Co., L.P.A., Emily’s primary focus is Estate Planning and Probate Administration. Emily understands that clients face difficult times and emotional decisions while they consider options for their estate planning. She shows compassion, sensitivity and understanding at a time when her clients need it the most. Emily is passionate about developing estate plans that are ensured to meet the individual needs of each client.
